Coachella 2017 Must See Act, Richie Hawtin (Techno)

COACHELLA!!!! Weekend 2 is just around the corner and those of you attending are probably frantically packing, last minute deciding which outfits to wear that’ll get you the most Instagram likes and stocking up on quality Costco booze. Weekend 1 is already in the books, and I’m sure most of you are probably still in bed nursing hangovers, or dreaming about prancing around under the Indio sun one more time. Read More

6 New Tracks from Billy Kenny’s Upcoming EP (House, Tech-House)

Over the weekend I got the chance to catch Billy Kenny play at Exchange LA and this was probably about the 4th or 5th time that I’ve seen him, but the curly-headed LA resident never disappoints. After waiting in line for about an hour (the longest line I’ve ever seen there… I’m sure Billy and Shiba San were to blame for the crowd), we got in and were able to catch the last 45 minutes of his set. Billy was throwing down as usual, dropping some classic Dirty Bird tracks like I.T.B – Walker and Royce, as well as some new bangers and edits. All in all, best $25 bucks I’ve spent in a while.

Aside from bouncing around all over the US and the rest of the world, Billy’s been working on another collaboration EP fittingly titled “Billy Kenny and Friends”. The EP has a total of 6 tracks and features artists such as Walker and Royce, Kry Wolf, Low Steppa, Josh Brown and more. The EP is out on April 14th, but give all of the tracks a listen above and catch the full versions to drop in your next set or rager.

Exchange has turned in to one of my favorite clubs to visit and they’re always bringing in some big name artists so be sure to check out some of their future events if you’re in the area here.

New Album “At What Cost” from Rising Artist Goldlink drops today (Hip-Hop)

I’ve been low-key listening to Goldlink for a while now, and always knew he was going to get big. Today marks a mile stone for the rapper, as he drops his first studio album titled “At What Cost”. Prior to release, he’s leaked a few songs, such as “Crew” (which we featured last week… shit’s hot) as well as “SummaTime” (the day before release) and both come highly recommend. This is one you definitely don’t want to miss, and be sure to keep up with Goldlink in the future; this guy is going places quick.

Purchase the album here and be sure to let us know what you think!

Must Hear Monday – Getting Stoked for Summer (Deep House and Future)

I don’t know about anyone else, but I am super excited for Summer this year. Not sure what it is, but I’m really looking forward to some great weather, plenty of beach and plenty of sun.  I think it was either all the rain California got, or the fact that Santa Barbara actually had a winter and the temperature wasn’t 65 and sunny all of January (unacceptable SB, get it together…) Read More

Fresh Beat Friday’s – Tracks to Keep You Busy This Weekend (Future Bass and Chill Hip-Hop)

Hey everyone, hope you all had a wonderful week and your Friday is going absolutely swimmingly! I know I always find myself saying this at the end of the week, but thank God it’s Friday, am i rite? It’s been a pretty nuts around here for me, and the days fly by when there is so much going on. Work work work, gym gym gym, eat eat eat, sleep. That’s about what life’s looking like right now, but who can complain when you can call Santa Barbara your home. I see a couple bevies (most likely Pabst, you already know) and some beach lined up for this weekend, and hope you all have something fun and relaxing planned as well.
